Staff Accountant

We seek a Staff Accountant with extensive Quick Books experience to join our finance team. This role combines general accounting expertise with cost analysis and financial efficiency initiatives, making it ideal for a seasoned accounting professional looking to have a strategic impact. You will be responsible for financial reporting, cost optimization, and operational analysis, ensuring compliance with accounting standards while driving business profitability.

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger in Quick Books, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end and year-end close.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing through Quick Books.
• Assist in financial audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize Quick Books processes to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.
• Support leadership in enhancing internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Analyze cost structures, pricing models, and expense allocations to improve financial efficiency.
• Develop and monitor cost standards, budget variances, and profit margins.
• Collaborate with operations and finance teams to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Conduct inventory valuation, cost forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide insights for budget planning, forecasting, and financial decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to cost accounting.
• Expertise in GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and cost analysis.
• Strong proficiency in ERP/accounting software (SAP, Net Suite, Quick Books, Oracle, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Experience in IT, construction, or service-based industries is a plus.
