RBC is looking for an associate to support the Energy Coverage Team based in Houston, TX.
Job DescriptionAs an Investment Banking Associate, you will support M&A and financing transactions within the Energy space from our Houston office.
Responsibilities- Assist in the execution of M&A and financing transactions, develop presentations, and conduct detailed financial analysis.
- Work with Analysts to develop pitch books and related client materials.
- Coordinate with industry, product, and other groups to evaluate and execute business opportunities.
- Identify operational risks and control deficiencies; report issues to line managers and risk functions.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of three years of Investment Banking experience with a mandate in Energy.
- Experience executing M&A deals specifically involving financial institutions and leading multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong quantitative, qualitative, and financial modeling skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, ability to work independently and in teams.
- Series 79 & 63 licenses.
