The Credit Analyst II is responsible for daily operations, applicable projects, employee training, and reporting of the credit department which includes new counter party setups, credit limits on counter parties, contract reviews, customer inquiries, mentoring of teammates, and monitoring of credit exposures. This role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting and finance principals. The ability to thrive in a team environment is a key to success!

Responsibilities- Coordinates review of credit terms within counter party agreements and provides recommendations
- Issues letters of credit and guarantees according to company guidelines
- Develops positive relationships with internal/external counter parties
- Makes decisions regarding credit limits and resolves sophisticated credit problems within company guidelines
- May mentor others
- Produces reports on credit activities/operations on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Other duties as assigned
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting and minimum of three (3) years working in an accounting/finance environment - Preferred: A minimum of five (5) years oil and gas experience in an accounting/finance area
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Detailed understanding of finance and accounting principals, financial documents and ratio analysis
- May be required to work overtime, including possibly working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as the need arises
This position is responsible for the processing of annual credit reviews, spreading financial statements and performing counter party research. In addition, also provides daily/weekly/monthly reports as needed.
