Data Scientist - Commodity Trading Team - Quant Hedge Fund
Base pay range: $150,000 - $300,000 per year.
Company OverviewI am working with a systematic hedge fund that has multiple successful commodities strategies in North America. One of their most prominent desks, focused on gas trading, is looking to hire a Data Scientist to build out the research infrastructure and models for the desk as they expand.
Responsibilities & Qualifications- Build research infrastructure and models for the gas trading desk.
- Experience with commodities (Power/Energy/Gas) and systematic trading development.
- Analyze data sets, including time series and market data.
- Strong technical skills in Python, MLflow, and AWS.
- Collaborate with researchers and traders in a flat structure.
- Mid‑Senior level
