DescriptionLarson Financial Group d/b/a Intrua Financial is seeking a talented professional to hire for the position of Financial Planner, in the Houston, TX area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with clients to achieve their financial goals through diligent follow‑up, meeting preparation, client meetings, and meticulous management of client information files. The candidate must handle people and processes with ease, welcome challenges, and demonstrate a passion for delivering superior service and building lasting client relationships.
In this client‑facing role, you will use your industry knowledge to work with the Advisory team to deliver an outstanding client experience. The position is fast‑paced and requires a desire to learn, grow, and handle challenges while enjoying success.
Responsibilities- Preparing and conducting client meetings
- Gathering data from clients for the preparation of a financial plan
- Running insurance illustrations and constructing financial plans
- Communicating investment advice based on the team’s recommendations
- Tracking next steps in the planning process for clients
- Providing outstanding service to maintain top client satisfaction
- Entering and manipulating information into the Contact Management System and financial planning software
- Implementing client touches to create a concierge experience that yields consistent referrals
- Performing follow‑up and processing new business; managing existing client relationships
- Managing and resolving client issues
- Ability to build rapport via phone, virtual meetings, or in person with clients
- Professional, clear, and polite communication preferred
- Ability to work with advisors and support team members to accomplish shared goals
- Adaptability to a changing environment and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Serve as the primary contact for a designated group of clients, providing reliable financial support
- 2+ years’ experience in the financial planning field
- Series 7 & 66, or 65 licenses
- CFP designation a plus
- Four‑year degree or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of the insurance/financial services industry
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Experience with financial planning software and ability to learn and adapt to upgrades
- Experience with Salesforce
- Proficient data entry skills
- Flexible schedule for meetings and client events
- Ability to prioritize deliverables, track progress, and follow up on outstanding matters
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a self‑directed manner
- Proactive and professionally assertive approach required
- Strong written and oral communication skills with meticulous attention to grammar and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, demonstrating positivity in all interactions
- Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as required by advisors and FINRA
