Our Oil & Gas Technology platform company is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to oversee daily accounting operations and support financial strategy. This role partners closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, revenue, and fixed assets
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reconciliation processes
- Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with tax and reporting standards
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including sales and property tax)
- Analyze and manage cash flow and forecasting
- Oversee budgeting and work with department leaders on financial planning
- Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and systems
- Lead, train, and develop accounting staff
- Oversee logistics‑related administrative functions and staff
- Manage customer and vendor contracts, including renewals and compliance
- Coordinate RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (U.S. accredited)
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience
- 5+ years of people‑management experience
- Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Industry‑specific accounting experience preferred
- Experience with Quick Books preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Integrity and ethical leadership
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Deep accounting and financial reporting knowledge
- Effective planning, prioritization, and execution
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage teams
