Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our manufacturing team in Houston, Texas. This role is integral to overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, and driving efficiency across our business units. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial management, cost analysis, and team leadership to ensure the company's financial health and operational success.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage operational budgets in collaboration with operations teams.

- Provide comprehensive financial modeling and strategic analysis to support business priorities.

- Partner with plant managers and operational leaders to align financial goals with production performance metrics.

- Conduct evaluations of capital expenditure proposals, including payback analysis and tracking project outcomes.

- Implement and maintain standard costing systems across all manufacturing sites.

- Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual packages, for divisional leadership.

- Monitor and analyze manufacturing margins, cost variances, and product profitability, recommending actionable steps.

- Drive process improvements and automation to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.

- Mentor and manage finance staff, conducting performance reviews and encouraging detail oriented development.

- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, financial regulations, and audit requirements through effective procedures.

Requirements

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management within the manufacturing industry.

- Expertise in standard costing practices and systems.

- Proven ability to analyze cost variances and provide strategic recommendations.

- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams.

- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools.

- Knowledge of inventory valuation and reconciliation processes.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Familiarity with compliance standards and audit procedures.
