Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Construction / Contracting

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer with a strong background in construction or contracting to oversee the company's financial operations and strategy. This role is responsible for high-level financial management, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and leadership of the accounting and finance team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, reporting, and controls
• Prepare and review WIP schedules and ensure accurate project financial tracking
• Provide high-level financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis to ownership and executive leadership
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning
• Oversee the accounting and finance department, including staff development and performance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Support strategic decision-making and long-term financial planning
• Work closely with operations and project leadership to monitor project performance and risk

Qualifications

• Prior CFO or senior financial leadership experience within construction or contracting
• Strong understanding of WIP accounting and job cost reporting
• Experience overseeing accounting and finance teams
• Strong financial analysis, leadership, and communication skills
• Structural Steel or Commercial Construction (General Contractor) Experience is highly preferred
