Senior Consultant – Midstream Consulting Practice
Opportune is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Midstream Consulting practice. This role will focus on delivering business process improvements, system implementations, and operational optimizations for midstream oil and gas clients, including pipeline operators, gas processing plants, and storage facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, hands‑on experience with the implementation of technology solutions, and a passion for problem‑solving.
Responsibilities- Support midstream clients in business process transformation, system selection, and technology implementations.
- Assist in the design and implementation of revenue accounting systems such as Quorum, W Energy, Trellis.
- Lead system configuration, testing, and deployment for technology solutions tailored to midstream operations.
- Identify and troubleshoot data integrity issues between systems, ensuring smooth integration of financial and operational data.
- Develop process documentation, training materials, and user guides to support system implementations.
- Provide meaningful input in discussions and meetings both internally within the team and with the client.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or other applicable degree.
- 5+ years of experience in business consulting or system implementations.
- Midstream value chain knowledge:
Gathering, Processing, Transportation, LNG, and Distribution preferred. - Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and problem‑solving skills to effectively communicate with client personnel and internal teams.
- Data analytics and management skills to identify trends, opportunities, and risk areas.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
