Internship – Pension Risk Transfer Pricing p>More than an internship. A summer of learning, leadership exposure, real project work, and professional connections that can help launch your career. /p> p>American National Insurance Company was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Houston, TX, with several locations across the US:
League City, TX, Springfield, MO, and Glenmont, NY. /p> p>Our Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with meaningful, real-world corporate experience while helping build a strong, long-term talent pipeline for American National. The program blends hands‑on, role‑related project work with intentional learning, leadership exposure, business education, and relationship‑building opportunities. /p> p>Our 2027 summer internship program begins on Monday, May 24 and ends on Friday, August 6.

An optional extension to August 13 is available. Intern positions are paid hourly with a full‑time schedule of Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, for the entirety of the program. /p>
Minimum Eligibility Requirements ul> li>Enrolled in an accredited college or university   /li>
  • Junior standing or higher by the start of the internship;
    May 2027 graduates are welcome   /li>
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0   /li>
  • Available to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday   /li>
  • Able to work onsite at the posted role location

      li>Our intern will assist with Pension Risk Transfer pricing projects that will impact several areas of our workstream.
      /li>
    • Our intern will gain both a technical and high‑level understanding of the PRT pricing process, including the actuarial, financial, and operational work that occurs behind the scenes when a premium is submitted.
      /li>
    • Our intern will develop actuarial and business skills throughout the internship.
    Tools and Technical Exposure ul> li>Excel, VBA, Python, PowerPoint, AI Tools (Copilot), SQL Qualifications We’re Looking For ul> li>Actuarial coursework (probability and statistics, life contingencies, financial math), Excel and coding skills   /li>
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills   /li>
  • Sound problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities   /li>
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently   /li>
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy   /li>
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs
