Senior Analyst - Merchandising and Commercial Finance

Support merchandising and commercial finance initiatives by partnering with Operations leadership to improve profitability, efficiency, and cost performance.

• Create reporting suites that provide actionable insights for Finance and Business teams
• Partner with field finance teams to develop KPIs that explain performance and enable proactive P&L management
• Deliver business insights to corporate FP&A on monthly and quarterly results versus plan and forecast
• Support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the US Food service organization
• Support the monthly and quarterly business review process
• Identify margin, cost, and efficiency opportunities
• Conduct ad-hoc analytics and financial modeling to support decision-making
• Support business transformation metrics tracking and link outcomes to P&L results
• Use VBA and other tools to build standardized Excel reporting with flexibility for multi-dimensional use
• Apply data analytics to develop conclusions and present financial and operational insights for timely executive-level decisions
• Develop strategic recommendations for business problems and opportunities using data analytics and predictive modeling

• BA (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) plus 5+ years of experience to perform essential job functions
• Minimum 5 years work experience in a corporate setting focused on reporting development, financial planning and analysis, business analytics, and financial modeling
• Strong commercial focus with exposure to multiple business/functions
• Excellent business partnering skills

• VBA
• Excel
• Tableau

• Visual Basic (VB) experience in Excel
• Experience with data visualization software (Tableau)

• High business acumen with a strong finance background

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone
• Frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

• Position can be performed from the corporate facility
• Must be able to complete limited travel to Sysco facilities or operating companies
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
