As our Business Performance Advisor in the US B2B Supply Finance department, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how the business platform measures and achieves success. In this role, you’ll collaborate across departments to design and refine performance and financial indicators that drive smarter decisions. You’ll manage and analyze data as well as advise leadership on decisions, identify margin opportunities, enhance forecasting accuracy and strengthen earnings predictability.

In this role, you will bring not only strong technical expertise in data analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting and performance measurement but also the curiosity and a problem-solving mindset needed to uncover deeper insights. You will automate reporting, analyze and advise on trends, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities that deliver meaningful business impact. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position where your insights and leadership will directly shape ENGIE’s performance, influence strategic decisions, and contribute to the company’s long-term growth.

This position will sit in Houston, TX and report to the Director of Business Performance.

• Serve as a key link between Portfolio Management, Settlements, Accounting and FP&A ensuring alignment across teams and provide a consolidated view of business performance, primarily during the monthly close process
• Analyze and report on close data to explain monthly results, reduce gross margin variance, and minimize prior period adjustments across a retail energy portfolio generating over $300M in gross margin per annum
• Develop budgeting, forecasting, and reporting models for key operational and financial metrics to explain variances and improve earnings predictability
• Contribute to the assessment and recommendation of key operational and performance indicators and operational controls based on an understanding of the business drivers to enhance the overall performance control framework of the B2B Supply business platform
• Transform complex datasets from a broad range of data from internal and external systems to develop actionable insights
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of reporting for Group, Global Business Units, B2B Supply Leadership Team, and departmental audiences
• Develop timely management-ready presentations in a clear, concise manner
• Contribute to the review of ISO and wholesale counter party settlements data, wholesale market data, costing models, hedging strategies, and hedging effectiveness to reduce variance in forecasted versus actualized costs of goods sold
• Review and investigate variances in customer energy usage to drive transparency and forecast improvements, reduce wholesale market exposure, and reduce usage-driven prior period adjustments
• Collaborate and motivate effectively across teams and departments including but not limited to Sales, Load Forecasting, Pricing, Portfolio Management, Operations, Billing, Settlements, Accounting, corporate Finance, and Credit

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or other quantitative discipline. In lieu of a degree, we will also consider candidates with at least ten (10) years of progressive, hands-on experience where you have demonstrated strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, reporting, and data-driven analysis
