CAZ was founded in 2001 with the backing of some of the most respected and successful families in the state of Texas. Since our inception, we have focused our efforts on finding excellent opportunities to invest our personal money and then providing the ability for our global network of investors to co-invest with us. We recently grew our ownership consortium to include several veterans in financial services as well as the world’s leading life and business strategist, Tony Robbins. Robbins was thrice named to the WORTH 100 most influential people in the world of global finance. His two financial books, Money:
Master the Game and Unshakeable, were both #1 New York Times Bestsellers. Robbins’ latest book, The Holy Grail of Investing, co-authored with our Chairman and CIO, Christopher Zook, recently became a #1 New York Times Bestseller as well. Robbins’ private financial events often feature speakers like Paul Tudor Jones, Ray Dalio, Jeff Gundlach, Hank Paulson, Alan Greenspan, and others.

We are quite different than the vast majority of other investment management companies in multiple ways. First, we always invest our personal capital alongside our Partners. We have more than $650mm of our personal capital committed to our investment vehicles. We provide access to our Partners to co-invest with us in these vehicles, which we believe provide the best opportunities for our families’ and our Shareholders’ money.

Second, because of the scale of our investments, we have access to opportunities that would otherwise not be available to investors with less than $250mm – $500mm of investable assets. Quite simply, there are many investments we can provide for our Partners they could never access on their own. Third, and what we believe is the most unique feature of our Firm, almost all of our compensation is earned only if an investor makes money.

In many cases, if our Partners do not make money, we don’t get paid. This ultimate alignment of interests is why we focus on finding the absolute best risk/reward opportunities available.

The Senior Vice President of Capital Formation is a member of the CAZ Special Opportunities Group, building relationships and gathering commitments to drawdown investment vehicles and co-investment opportunities from large U.S. single-family offices, ultra-high net worth families, endowments, and foundations. Reporting to the Head of the Special Opportunities Group, this senior, relationship-driven role engages CIOs and principals and is based in a major U.S. market, with frequent travel.

• Investor Origination:
  Originate, cultivate, and close commitments from large U.S. single-family offices, multi-generational family investment vehicles, university endowments, and private and community foundations
• Coverage Ownership:
  Lead direct outreach to CIOs, principals, investment committees, and senior investment staff, owning a large coverage list end to end
• Co-Investment Placement:
  Present co-investment opportunities on compressed timelines, matching each transaction to Investors with the appetite, capacity, and speed to act
• Drawdown Vehicle Capital Formation:
  Primarily focus on the CAZ's drawdown investment vehicles through each closing, from first meeting through subscription
• Investment Dialogue:
  Present fund strategies and individual transactions with fluency, covering thesis, structure, terms, fees, risks, and fit within an Investor’s portfolio
• Due Diligence Coordination:
  Partner with the investment Team on due diligence requests, data rooms, DDQs and investment committee follow-ups
