Position: Financial Advisor (Seminar Presenter)

Location: Greater Houston, TX (multiple office locations across the metro)

Role Summary

We’re hiring a Financial Advisor on behalf of our client—a growing independent retirement planning firm based in the Greater Houston area.

This is a role for a proven seminar presenter who is ready to step into a fully built marketing machine and start producing right away. Our client brings in more than $160 million in new assets every year and runs 150+ educational workshops annually, supported by radio, television, You Tube, podcast, and social media marketing. The firm currently has six producing advisors and is building toward 10 to 20, so this is a true growth seat with plenty of room to run.

Reporting directly to the firm’s founder, who focuses entirely on training advisors and growing the business, you’ll present educational retirement seminars, run first and follow-up client meetings, and close business across fixed index annuities and managed accounts. Everything you need to run a seminar is handed to you. What you bring is the presence to own the room and the skill to turn attendees into clients.

Core

Responsibilities
  • Present educational retirement and income-planning seminars and workshops to pre-retirees and retirees across the Greater Houston area
  • Convert seminar attendees into scheduled appointments and lead the full client meeting process from discovery through implementation
  • Close new business across fixed index annuities and fee-based managed accounts, typically in a blended, holistic plan
  • Deliver holistic retirement planning that addresses income, tax, risk management, wealth preservation, and legacy goals
  • Actively hunt for new assets, including helping prospects reposition funds away from bank CDs and other low-yield vehicles
  • Work leads generated through the firm’s radio, TV, You Tube, podcast, Linked In, and Facebook marketing
  • Rotate across multiple office locations in the Houston metro to support the firm’s market‑by‑market seminar strategy
  • Build and maintain an ongoing advisory book, staying in touch with clients after the initial sale
  • Partner with the firm’s founder and leadership team on training, best practices, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain full compliance with insurance and investment advisory regulations
Candidate Profile Must‑Haves
  • Proven experience presenting retirement or financial planning seminars and closing business from them
  • Background at an independent, seminar‑driven advisory or insurance practice
  • Track record of production in both fixed index annuities and assets under management
  • Active Series 65 (or 66) and an active life and health (or life) insurance license
  • A natural hunter mindset—comfortable going out and winning new assets rather than servicing an existing book
  • Ready to produce right away, with minimal ramp‑up training needed
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • CRPC designation, with CFP strongly preferred and CFP plus CPA as the gold standard
  • Experience serving pre‑retiree and retiree households in the $500K to $2M range
  • Strong, confident speaking presence with a polished, educational style
Compensation and Benefits

Client starts you at an $85k base so you’re paid while you build your book. The base steps down over your first year as your production ramps up, and after that you’re earning 30% of street comp on every annuity you write- A break down of what this can look like is provided.

Work Environment and Culture

This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Greater Houston area. The firm runs a hub‑and‑spoke model, with a central headquarters and satellite offices spread across the metro so marketing stays fresh and no single area gets over saturated. Advisors should expect to work from different locations depending on where seminars are held, with regular time at headquarters.

The culture is fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, and performance‑driven. Leadership is direct, confident, and focused on helping advisors win. If you’re already great at seminars and want a bigger platform, more support, and better economics, this is a natural next step. Candidates outside of Texas who are open to relocating are welcome to apply.
