The Sterile Processing Technician II is a certified technician whose areas of responsibilities covers decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established standards/guidelines. The SP Tech II demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness when working in an in-direct patient care department and addressing the request of the customer or provider.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Central Service Technology Course/Or Equivalent
  
  Work Experience:
  
  At least one year experience in central sterile processing.
• License &
  
  Certifications:
  
  Hold one of the following certifications or obtain within one year of hire: CRCST, CSPDT, or CBSPD.
• Work Experience: One (1) year of Central Sterile Processing experience required.

  Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact);
  Bilingual skills preferred;
  Writing/Reports (Legible handwriting and coherent writing).

• Equipment Operated: Sterilization equipment, decontamination equipment, computer/printer, elevator system, scope disinfector, heat sealer, incubators, Bar code Scanners, Computer software, Temperature Monitors, Equipment Gauges, Visual Screen Monitors, Digital Camera, Inter-department Paging System.
