The lead phlebotomist is responsible for overseeing the phlebotomy and specimen processing areas in the absence of a supervisor. This role includes assigning workstations, performing phlebotomy procedures and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of specimen collection and processing. The Lead Phlebotomist demonstrates proficiency in venipuncture, blood culture collection for bottles or isolator tubes, age-specific skills in maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Additionally, the role involves monitoring staff certifications, training, and competencies, as well as supporting team development and maintaining productivity standards.

Certifications:
Certified Phlebotomist required - Work Experience:
Three (3) years experience required (experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred) - Proficiencies: P.C.

Laboratory Information Systems (LIS); EPIC and Rover (If applicable), Strong organizational and prioritization skills, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Work Schedule:
