Job Summary - CORRECTIONAL HEALTH

Performs phlebotomy procedures for the collection of blood samples. Demonstrates competency via direct observation and assessment for the following phlebotomy procedures: venipuncture, blood culture collection for bottles or isolator tubes, age specific skills. Accurately identifies patient and collects correct specimens. Achieves productivity standards. Maintains specimen integrity by collection and transporting specimens in a timely manner. Accurately performs assignments in registration and accessioning.

Utilizes all equipment and supplies in a manner that ensures safety to patients, co-workers, and self.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:

    H.S. Diploma or GED/ Phlebotomy Certification or Eligible
  • Work Experience:

    One (1) year experience desired, but not required
  • License & Certification:
    Phlebotomy Certification Eligible
  • Work Schedule:

    Flexible
  • Equipment Operated: CRT and PC
