HIM/MEDICAL RECORDS ANALYST/CODING SPECIALIST-FT
West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility, fully accredited, also includes a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults, with treatment available at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient.
Responsibilities- Chart Abstraction and Review
- Coding
- Chart Analysis (as needed)
- Outpatient discharge charts
- Chart Audits
- Administrative duties to include answering incoming calls and providing assistance to customers.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications- Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED - Licensure and certification
Required:
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). Two years’ of coding experience may be substituted for CCS. - Experience
Required:
Two years of clerical experience. Preferred: ICD-10, CPT coding experience.
