$22.99 - $23.01 per shift (Pay based on factors including education, experience, certifications, etc.)

Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law. Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales and answering questions for customers. Achieves customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions, and answering questions. Other duties include stocking and pricing over the counter (OTC) items, maintaining the OTC areas, processing clinic medication requisitions, and other duties as required by the pharmacist.

• Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law.
• Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales, and answering questions.
• Prompts processing of prescriptions, sales transactions to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Stocks and prices over the counter (OTC) items, and maintains OTC areas.
• Processes clinic medication requisitions.
• Performs other duties as required by the pharmacist.

• Education
  :
  High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred: N/A)
• Experience
  :
  Minimum 2-4 years retail pharmacy experience or completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program;
  Preferred: HMO and 3rd party managed care experience.
• License(s): TSBP Registration (Preferred: PTCB Certification).
• Communicate
  :
  Required to read merchandise labels and invoices, answer and ask questions over the phone, write information on prescriptions;
  Able to handle complaints and problems. Preferred:
  Know when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist.
• Special Skills
  :
  Required to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions; math cash handling, add/subtract, make changes, complete daily cash report;
  Type 20 WPM. Preferred: 10 key by touch.
