EMT – City Ambulance Service – Houston, TX (Full‑time)

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operations across multiple Texas locations. We are seeking experienced, dedicated EMT‑Basics to join our Houston team.

Pay & Benefits

Base pay range: $15.00/hr – $19.00/hr

Full‑time schedule: 48 ON / 96 OFF or 24 ON / 48 OFF. Employees can earn $68,640 – $86,944 per year by taking extra shifts (up to 72 hrs/week). No cap on overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to calls for emergency and non‑emergency transports.
  • Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
  • Provide first‑aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
  • Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
  • Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
  • Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
  • Report observations and treatment to physicians or other healthcare facility staff.
  • Document medical care given to patients promptly and effectively.
  • Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
  • Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance, and station locations daily.
Qualifications
  • Ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
  • Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
  • Experience with MICU level transports including IV pump, ventilator, cardiac monitoring.
  • Valid State of Texas (or other compact state) EMT‑Basic license required.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services.
