Location:
Kingwood, TX. Position:
Multimodality Radiology Technologist. As the Multi‑Modality Radiology Technologist, you will perform all radiological procedures and routinely function in other areas of the imaging department as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, physicists, nursing units and other disciplines in making decisions regarding each patient’s needs for care.
- Move X‑ray equipment into specified positions and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time, distance.
- Perform imaging in multiple areas (diagnostic, OR, fluoroscopy, etc).
- Assist the physician in diagnostic procedures.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Be available to be onsite within 30 minutes of the call out when on call.
- Education and training from an accredited radiology technology program or equivalent is required.
- A valid Texas Department of Health licensure as a Certified Medical Radiological Technologist (CMRT) in the state of Texas is required.
- Advanced Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification is required after 12 months of hire.
- American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
- One year of previous experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
- Orthopedic and spine patients experience is preferred, including X‑ray experience and casting experience.
