Job Description
Saratoga Medical is hiring a Board Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist (Chief) in Houston, TX. Package includes competitive rate, paid time off and benefit options.
This is a great full-time opportunity, 36‑40 hours work week schedule, Monday to Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Minimum qualifications are as follows:
Minimum QualificationsEducation
- MS or PhD in Medical Physics or a related field
Certification
- Board Certification (A or equivalent)
Post‑Board Experience
- Minimum 5 years of documented post‑board clinical experience
Recent Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of continuous work within the last 5 years
Required Specialized Experience
- Quality Assurance (QA) Procedures: 5 years of documented experience performing QA procedures
- Therapeutic Medical Physics (Accredited System): 3 years of experience within a healthcare system with an accredited radiation oncology service
- Varian Linear Accelerators (True Beam or equivalent): 3 years of experience following TG‑142 standards
- Image‑Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) including Cone Beam CT: 3 years of experience following TG‑142 standards
- Treatment Planning Systems: 3 years of experience with Pinnacle, Eclipse, and R&V systems (Mosaiq, ARIA)
- IMRT QA: 3 years using Map Check I/II or equivalent
- CT Simulator (GE or equivalent): 3 years following TG‑66 standards
- Accuray Cyber Knife:
Minimum 1 year of experience - Acceptance Testing:
Successfully performed at least one acceptance test on a linear accelerator - Commissioning:
Successfully performed at least one commissioning of a linear accelerator for a treatment planning system
Experience must include 2D / 3D Conformal, SRS, SRT, SBRT, DIBH, SGRT, IMRT / VMAT (TG‑53).
