Position OverviewUpon the order of a qualified physician, the Per Diem Radiology Technologist will utilize equipment that produces ionizing radiation to obtain radiographs for diagnostic purposes according to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic. Equipment includes fluoroscopic and/or digital radiographic and/or routine radiographic rooms, used in combination with CR technology for image acquisition. Imaging services vary by location;
therefore, rotation through the ambulatory surgery center to provide radiographic support via a radiographic C‑arm or portable unit and performing fluoroscopic exams may be required depending on the assigned site. The Radiology Technologist will also utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) for clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS).
- Obtain radiographs using fluoroscopic and digital radiographic systems under physician order.
- Provide radiographic support in ambulatory surgery and operating rooms, including use of C‑arm and portable units.
- Perform fluoroscopic examinations as required.
- Operate the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Patient Archiving System (PACS) for documentation.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent (required). Associate’s degree in Applied Science – Radiologic Technology preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1‑year clinical Radiology Technologist experience preferred. (

- Eligible for ARRT(R) registry Graduate Technologist designation as defined by the Texas Medical Board.
- Employee must attain ARRT(R) and MRT‑General Certificate status within one year of eligibility.
- Alternative: ARRT (R) with MRT‑General Certificate or BLS certification through American Heart Association.
- Special
Skills:
Ability to use a computer keyboard and understand digital image acquisition elements. - Other: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Preferred: Bilingual or multilingual; none required.
