Responsibilities

Cypress Creek Hospital is a free‑standing 128‑bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in north Houston, TX, minutes south of The Woodlands. It offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. We currently have an opportunity for a PRN Certified Pharmacy Technician

The Certified Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to adolescent and adult patients as prescribed by the physician.

• Accurately fills medication cart.
• Prints and labels patient medications.
• Delivers medication to nursing units.
• Assists pharmacist in maintaining accurate patient profiles containing all patient information necessary for clinical monitoring. All necessary patient information (allergies, height, weight, diagnosis, etc.) will be entered into the computer daily.
• Assists pharmacist in identification and entry of medication orders into computer.
• Records medication billing into computer daily.
• Billing will be accurate and completed daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be available to work weekdays, some weekends and holidays.

Pharmacy Technician Requirements:

• Education:
  
  H.S. diploma with completion of a pharmacy technician program.
• Experience:
  
  One year hospital experience.
• Licensure:
  Current certification from the Texas Pharmacy Board.
• Certifications:
  
  None.
• Additional requirements:
  
  Computer skills. Flexible hours to include weekdays and some holidays.
