Role Description

This part-time hybrid role as an Intake Assessor requires working both on-site in Houston, TX, and from home as needed. Responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, evaluating client needs, maintaining detailed client documentation, responding to inquiries, and referring individuals to appropriate support services. The Intake Assessor will ensure timely communication with clients and collaborate with the broader team to support client well-being and access to essential resources.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake assessments and evaluate client needs (psychological and social).
  • Maintain detailed client documentation and accurate case records using digital tools.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and referral sources in a timely manner.
  • Refer individuals to appropriate support services and collaborate with the broader team to support client well-being and access to resources.
Qualifications
  • Strong assessment, interview, and evaluation skills for identifying client needs, including psychological and social challenges.
  • Proficiency in client documentation, data entry, and using digital tools to maintain accurate case records.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to provide support and build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of mental health services, community resources, and social service systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
  • Empathy, cultural competence, and a dedication to serving diverse communities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field (required), with a preference for candidates with relevant professional certification or licensure (e.g., LMSW, LPC).
  • Prior experience in social services, counseling, or mental health assessment is highly advantageous.
  • CANS/ANSA Certification
  • Nurturing Parent Certification
