We are looking for a top‑performer to join our team as our new Quality Coordinator/Infection Prevention RN. This position leads all aspects of Quality/Risk Management/Infection Control/Employee Health.
The Infection Control RN is trained in hospital epidemiology principles and is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of nosocomial infections; educating employees about infection control; and the development of health system policies and procedures to ensure rigorous infection control standards that meet JCAHO, OSHA, Public Health Department, and Center for Disease Control requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Minimum 2-3 years’ prior experience in Quality Control/Infection Prevention
- Minimum 2-3 years’ prior experience in direct Nursing Leadership
- RN license in the state of Texas
- Familiar with Core Measures, TJC standards
- Business office courses or experience, preferred.
- Business college training is desirable.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, certification preferred
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with physicians as well as with facility employees.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- AHA - BLS certified
