Responsibilities
The Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist is responsible and accountable for the timely and accurate release of patient health information, proper documentation and tracking of requests for information and providing personalized customer service to all requestors.

Qualifications EducationRequired:
High School diploma or GED from an accredited program

ExperienceRequired:
2-3 years’ experience in a medical record department or confidential file room. Knowledge of or ability to learn Release of Information for medical records. Previous experience dealing with confidential information.

Knowledge of the Kelsey-Seybold system. 1-2 years in a medical record department’s ROI
