Clinical Data Abstracter - Lymphoma Myeloma
Job Summary:
Responsible for abstracting and coding clinical and research data from patient medical records using established classification systems. Ensures data quality through interactive reviews and enters information in coded form according to institutional, state, and accreditation guidelines. May also contribute to special projects.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented with a strong background in science, holding at minimum a bachelor's degree in a related field. They possess extensive experience, spending approximately 95% of their time reviewing medical records and entering data into study databases, particularly REDCap and/or Epic. A deep understanding of medical terminology, imaging reports, and pathology reports is essential.
Preferred candidates will have an international medical degree or prior experience working in hematologic malignancies such as leukemia, myeloma, or lymphoma. A background in blood cancers is strongly desired. The candidate must demonstrate accuracy in abstracting and coding clinical and research data from patient records using standardized classification systems, ensuring data quality and compliance with institutional, state, and accreditation standards.

Salary Range:
Min $43,000 Mid $54,000 Max $65,000

- Required:
2 years Experience in tumor registry, healthcare or related field. - May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
