We are looking for a Patient Billing & Customer Service Representative to join our Houston onsite team
. This role is an important point of contact for patients who have questions about billing, payments, balances, and their accounts.

The ideal candidate has prior healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), medical billing, or patient accounts experience
, enjoys working directly with patients, and communicates professionally and empathetically.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are preferred.

As a Patient Billing & Customer Service Representative, you will assist patients with billing and account-related questions while helping resolve issues efficiently and accurately.

You will communicate with patients by phone, voicemail, and email, research patient accounts, coordinate with internal teams, and provide a professional and empathetic experience when discussing financial matters.

This is a patient-facing, onsite role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and previous healthcare billing or RCM experience.

• Respond to and resolve patient billing and account-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Handle incoming phone calls, voicemails, and emails related to patient billing, payments, balances, and financial questions.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients regarding account balances, billing questions, payments, and account concerns.
• Research patient accounts to identify billing issues and determine appropriate resolutions.
• Assist patients with understanding their bills, balances, payment responsibilities, and account information.
• Coordinate with internal departments and team members to resolve patient account discrepancies and billing concerns.
• Document patient interactions, account updates, and follow-up activities accurately.
• Provide a professional, empathetic, and patient-focused customer service experience.
• Escalate complex billing, account, or patient concerns to the appropriate team when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Support other patient billing, patient accounts, and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) activities as needed.

• Previous experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), medical billing, patient accounts, or healthcare billing
  .
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking directly with patients about billing, balances, payments, and financial matters.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with professionalism and empathy.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple calls, voicemails, emails, and patient requests efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving and account research skills.
