The Crossings - League City, TX 77573, Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC), with a mission to honor and serve older adults as an expression of Christ’s love, does so with eight senior living communities in Texas. • Evaluate each resident’s functional abilities, daily routines, environment, and barriers to independence.
• Develop individualized plans of care with functional, measurable short- and long-term goals.
• Select and adapt treatment models, activities, and interventions based on each resident’s needs and abilities.
• Support safe participation in activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
• Teach new approaches to tasks and break complex activities into achievable steps.
• Recommend environmental modifications, adaptive equipment, and assistive devices, and provide training in their use.
• Educate residents, families, caregivers, and team members to promote carryover and safety.
• Track progress, adjust treatment as needed, and complete clinical documentation accurately and on time.

• A genuine love for serving older adults and helping them retain choice, purpose, and independence.
• Creative problem-solving and the ability to adapt activities to different strengths and limitations.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and time-management skills.
• Clear, compassionate communication and a supportive teaching style.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas.
