Hotel Valet Attendant - Doubletree Galleria Houston

At Towne Park, your work makes an impact by delivering exceptional hospitality to guests, patients and visitors. You will greet guests, manage valet parking, assist with luggage and provide a memorable experience in a welcoming environment.

Job Details
Hourly base pay $9-$10 per hour plus $12-$14 per hour in tips.
Schedule depends on hotel business volumes.
Benefits include accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits and 401k retirement savings plan. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for benefits.

Summary
The Guest Service Associate provides exceptional hospitality services. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely, assisting guests with luggage, delivering and picking up luggage, opening vehicle and hotel doors, providing directions and information about the facility and surrounding attractions, shuttling guests to approved locations, explaining parking rates, issuing claim checks, maintaining ticketing information and collecting revenue when required.

Essential Functions
Maintains a pleasant, friendly demeanor with guests and coworkers.
Uses guest last names during interactions.
Welcomes guests, practices proper phone etiquette, and attends designated areas when not completing tasks.
Parks and retrieves vehicles safely, assists with bell services and luggage storage.
Provides directions and information about facilities and attractions.
Delivers messages and guest amenities, shuttles guests as approved.
Explains parking rates, issues claim checks, maintains ticket data, and collects revenue.

Responsibilities / Time Allocation
25% greet and maintain professionalism with guests.
10% welcome guests and practice phone etiquette.
20% park vehicles and aid luggage.
10% give directions and provide information.
35% manage claim checks and revenue collection.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED.
Licensure:
Valid driver’s license for the state of employment.

Experience:

One month of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
Knowledge:
Customer service principles and processes.

Skills:

Reading and writing English, following instructions, writing simple correspondence, presenting information, basic arithmetic, understanding time systems, manual transmission preference, parallel parking.

Physical Requirements
Talk or hear regularly; sit or stand extended periods; run, walk and handle objects; lift up to 100 pounds occasionally; work outdoors in all weather conditions; travel up to 5% required.

Work Conditions
Typical working environment includes outdoor work for shift duration, exposure to extreme heat and cold, and occasional travel.
