SummaryThe incumbent is either an advanced generalist or a specialist in one or more areas of human resources. They develop, implement and coordinate policies and programs covering several areas including recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, and personnel research. They handle complex assignments, counsel managers on HR policies, procedures, and programs, participate in cross‑divisional HR teams, and communicate HR‑related programs to managers and employees.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Performance management and improvement systems; organization development, employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting; employee orientation, development, and training;
- Policy development and documentation; employee relations; compensation and benefits administration; employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health; and employee services and counseling.
- Sourcing candidates, recruiting, and staffing logistics including interviewing job applicants; reviewing applications/resumes; evaluating applicant skills and making recommendations regarding applicant qualifications.
- Provide communication and support of Forum’s Code of Conduct policy.
- Assist in maintaining company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems.
- Coordinate new employee orientations.
- Work with corporate benefits and assist in administration and communication of Forum’s Health and Welfare plans.
- Recommend, develop, and schedule training and development courses.
- Develop job descriptions and assist in compensation analysis for the job levels.
- Provide advice, assistance, and follow‑up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Coordinate the resolution of specific policy‑related and procedural problems and inquiries.
- Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
Perform specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested. - Assist in maintaining employee files and records, ensuring completeness of files.
- Respond to public inquiries on positions available in employment.
- Engage in personal ongoing development to maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to complete the job.
- Broad knowledge of several HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with multiple people at many levels and work as part of a team.
- Ability to travel (overnight) up to 25% of the time and weekly local travel to Houston locations.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- May require certain professional certifications to meet this position’s responsibilities.
- 1–5 years of HR experience.
