Join BDO USA as a People & Culture Coordinator to support field people & culture teams and help drive employee experience and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities- Support People & Culture team members in processing and onboarding new employees, including background checks, welcome announcements, and email communications.
- Coordinate with People & Culture Managers to monitor completion of new hire paperwork.
- Provide copies of personnel documents for exit processes and handle related documentation (e.g., relocation, signing bonus, tuition reimbursement).
- Create and maintain pre‑employment and personnel files.
- Assist with the development, creation, and running of reports for field human resources personnel.
- Partner with local Administrative professionals to coordinate events or programs related to field HR initiatives.
- Support Talent Acquisition team members by scheduling phone and in‑office interviews.
- Track status of job descriptions, ensuring employee job title changes are updated.
- Assist with departmental organizational changes including job title and career advisor changes.
- Produce orientation schedules and related materials for new hires.
- Coordinate new hire specifics with local office administrative staff (e.g., cubicle layout, computer setup).
- Manage the temp‑to‑hire process, including tracking statements of work, background checks, hours worked, and conversion to regular status.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One year of administrative experience (required). Experience in a human resources environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems (required). People Soft HR experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster and maintain relationships with professionals at all levels.
- Strong planning, organizational, project, and time‑management skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Desire to learn and expand knowledge.
Illinois Range: $25.00/hour – $30.00/hour
