Develops and administers advanced career programming and resources for the students and alumni of a college. Serves as an industry expert in the areas of executive recruitment and organizational management. Develops new internship programs and placement opportunities with local, national and global employers.
The Rockwell Career Center supports over 8,500 business majors within the C.T. Bauer College of Business by providing career and professional development, hosting industry-focused events, and connecting academia with industry. We are a committed team of professionals focused on student success.
The Career Development specialist will provide career development services to undergraduate Management and Supply Chain Management students at the C.T. Bauer College of Business, through individual advising/coaching, workshops, and seminars. Advise undergraduate students on career related topics such as career exploration, resumes and cover letters, technical and case interviews, search strategies, offer negotiation, and more. Collaborate with the undergraduate and MBA/MS career coaching teams to apply best practices and provide world-class career services.
Work with industry relations managers to gain information and promote internship and job opportunities to students, and to prepare students to interview for these roles. Participate in First Destination data collection efforts. Support institutional events, including orientation, career mixers, student organizations and other student events. Collaborate with colleagues in the Rockwell Career Center, Undergraduate Business Programs Office and college-wide.
Experience will be considered in lieu of master’s degree. Bachelor’s degree required.
Required Qualifications- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Demonstrated ability to speak and present in a classroom environment
- Minimum of 3 years experience with career coaching or recruiting
- Business experience in recruiting, consulting, industry specificroles, and/or experience working in higher education
- Exemplary ability to motivate students through the job search process
- 3 years of relevant work experience in career coaching,leadership training within a business career services office, or acombination of business career services experience and industry experience…
