About the Position
A front‑office opportunity with a leading power generator in Houston, with direct responsibility for the provision of analytical support for portfolio hedging and optimization.
Responsibilities- Conduct research to form the basis of trade and market strategies (portfolio innovation & hedging).
- Build and maintain front‑office systems and tools to enable the trade desk.
- Inform the business of market and regulatory changes and present insights on how these affect portfolio strategy.
- Degree in a highly quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Finance; Master’s preferred).
- Technical proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong communication skills; ability to turn complex analytics into actionable trade and hedging ideas.
- Understanding of probability, statistics, stochastic calculus, option pricing theory, and/or numerical analysis.
