The Dev Ops Engineer is responsible for building, automating, and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and processes that support software development and deployment. This role bridges development and operations teams to improve delivery speed, reliability, scalability, and overall efficiency. The position focuses heavily on automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible
- Automate operational tasks, system provisioning, and configuration management
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable deployments
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability
- Maintain container environments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE)
- Implement logging, alerting, and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor)
- Improve system security by implementing best practices for access control, secrets management, patching, and vulnerability remediation
- Troubleshoot system and infrastructure issues across development, staging, and production environments
- Contribute to incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and deployment workflows
- 2–5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, cloud engineering, or related roles
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Circle
CI, etc.) - Solid understanding of Linux systems administration
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC/configuration management tools
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Certifications such as AWS Dev Ops Engineer, Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert, or Kubernetes CKA/CKAD
- Experience with microservices architectures
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and cloud security practices
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
- Understanding of Git Ops workflows (Argo CD, Flux)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered
