What You Can Expect
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be part of our enterprise network team tasked with designing, implementing, and managing IT Enterprise and Industrial Control System (ICS) networking solutions across ENGIE North America. This position also works closely with ENGIE's global infrastructure team to ensure alignment and implementation of global networking standards throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on enterprise internetworking technologies and provide network escalation support to other teams.
- Maintain, enforce, and communicate IT and ICS network standards and policies to all stakeholders.
- Accurately document and inventory network details to comply with IT Controls requirements.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, manage competing demands, and consider long‑term implications for support, security, and cost‑efficiency in deliverables.
- Respond to IT incidents and disaster recovery events.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with both internal and external parties, including customers and vendors.
- Proactively monitor network availability and scalability and present continuous improvement recommendations to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience designing and supporting large‑scale enterprise and Industrial Control System (ICS) networks. An associate degree with at least six (6) years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with at least seven (7) years of relevant experience, will also be considered.
- Strong systematic and logical troubleshooting skills and willingness to assist with resolving issues outside of the networking area.
- In‑depth knowledge of designing and managing network and security components across multiple public clouds (such as AWS and Azure) and on‑premises data center.
- In‑depth knowledge of Enterprise Core Networking technologies such as LAN, WAN, WIFI, VPN, SD‑WAN, Firewall, WAF, and Load Balancer.
- In‑depth knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, 802.1x, 802.1Q, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and STP.
- This role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule consisting of three (3) days in the office and two (2) days remote.
- Depending on project demands, employees may be required to work in the office up to five (5) days per week to meet critical deadlines.
- The position requires participation in an on‑call rotation to provide after‑hours support.
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time to industrial sites, including occasional overnight trips.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- May involve some lifting up to 25 lbs.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- This position includes 10% outdoor work; employees may be exposed to weather conditions at industrial sites.
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
Salary Range: $99,000 – $151,800 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
