CDW is seeking a Senior Enterprise Cloud Architect (Azure and AWS) ready to grow with our organization and play a pivotal role in shaping our multi-cloud strategy, enterprise architecture standards, and technical direction. This senior-level position leads the design of secure, scalable, cost-optimized cloud solutions while guiding migrations, automation pipelines, and security compliance across the enterprise. As a key technical expert, you’ll provide deep consultative insight, participate in technical “deep dive” evaluations, and help define how data and systems flow across our integrated delivery environment.
If you’re a seasoned architect with a passion for designing the future of cloud at scale
- we want to hear from you.
- Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise cloud architecture standards, reference architectures, and service catalogs
- Design secure, scalable, highly available solutions across multi-cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, serverless, containers)
- Define and drive application migration strategies (re-hosting, re-platforming, modernization, cloud-native patterns)
- Partner with cybersecurity to enforce Zero Trust, encryption, identity governance, and compliance frameworks
- Implement cost governance via tagging, rightsizing, reserved instance planning, and continuous optimization
- Direct infrastructure-as-code adoption (Terraform, Bicep, Cloud Formation) and automation pipelines (Dev Ops/Git Hub Actions)
- Ensure end-to-end observability, monitoring, and system reliability
- Collaborate with networking teams on private service connectivity, firewalls, DNS, routing, and bandwidth planning
- Participate in architectural design reviews, intake governance boards, and enterprise change management
- Evaluate emerging cloud services and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency
- Mentor engineers and support knowledge transfer to elevate cloud maturity across the organization
- Experience: 13 years in information systems architecture, design, or maintenance
- A bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of experience
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise cloud architecture and multi-cloud strategy
- Strong knowledge of automation, IaC, security frameworks, migration methodologies, and cloud operations
This is a rare opportunity to influence enterprise technology direction at scale, act as a senior subject matter expert, and architect the next generation of our clinical and business solutions. If you thrive in high-impact roles and excel at solving complex cloud challenges
- this is the role for you.
