Primary Services is excited to announce the SAP PM/SM Functional Consultant role for a large, established company. This position provides hands-on functional support for the SAP PM/SM and PS modules, contributing to full-lifecycle implementations, system enhancements, and production support. The SAP PM/SM Functional Consultant will work closely with cross-functional SAP teams, including ABAP, CCS, MM, FI, and BW, while collaborating with business leaders to deliver effective EAM solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities- Design, configure, and implement SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM, PM/SM, PS) solutions.
- Lead full lifecycle SAP EAM projects, including business requirements gathering, workshops, gap analysis, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, cutover, data migration, go-live, and post-go-live support.
- Assess current business processes, identify requirements, and define future state solutions.
- Translate detailed requirements into an actionable system design and implement within SAP.
- Develop EAM solutions that align with business capability requirements, functional requirements, and service levels.
- Collaborate with EAM architects and business leadership to identify emerging technology opportunities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of technical and business needs across business units.
- Serve as liaison among clients, vendors, project management, and technical teams to resolve issues and refine solutions.
- Manage project engagement risks, budgets, deliverables, and stakeholder buy-in.
- Conduct fit/gap analysis, validate design decisions, and ensure deviations from standard functionality are justified and valuable.
- Provide consulting services for new implementations and existing support projects.
- Deliver ad-hoc training and support to end users.
- Mentor junior team members and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience designing, configuring, testing, implementing, and managing EAM solutions.
- Experience with at least 2 full-cycle greenfield or brownfield SAP implementations.
- Experience integrating acquisitions or mergers into existing SAP platforms.
- Strong knowledge of current technology implementation patterns.
- Proficiency in S/4 EAM and Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical concepts verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on functional expertise; not a coordinator or lead-only role.
