Currently, DXP is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft ecosystem to strengthen its growing infrastructure team. This position is well-suited for a technically adept professional who excels at solving complex challenges, mentoring others, and driving enterprise system modernization. As DXP shifts to a cloud-first architecture, the IT Systems Engineer will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing solutions within Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune, while ensuring secure and efficient integration with on-premises systems.

Collaboration across Networking, Security, and Applications teams will be critical to maintaining a stable, secure, and scalable IT environment for DXP’s future growth.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure and Microsoft 365 services, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor, helping train and guide team members on best practices in Azure and system management.
  • Support DXP’s modernization initiatives, including the migration from Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and SCCM to Intune.
  • Manage and enhance identity and access management with Azure AD, Conditional Access, and Duo MFA integrations.
  • Partner with Security to maintain and improve endpoint protection using Crowd Strike, Defender for Cloud, and other security tools.
  • Collaborate with the Network team to ensure seamless integration between Azure networking and Palo Alto firewall infrastructure.
  • Participate in merger and acquisition (M&A) technology integrations, helping unify systems and optimize identity, security, and access strategies.
  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and deployments using Power Shell, Azure Automation, or Logic Apps.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for performance, reliability, and security improvements across DXP’s hybrid environment.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and networking components.
  • Experience managing Exchange Server (on-premises) and Exchange Online, including hybrid mail routing and migrations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), identity lifecycle management, and synchronization flows.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Intune.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with enterprise security tools and principles, including MFA, endpoint protection, and zero‑trust frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to mentor others and take initiative on technical projects.
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset—someone who asks questions, learns quickly, and thrives in a team‑oriented environment.

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Microsoft 365 Certified:
    Enterprise Administrator Expert.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and advanced Azure security configurations.
  • Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or M&A integration environment.
