Data and Reporting Analyst – Houston, TX

Our client is seeking a Data and Reporting Analyst to work within their facilities located in Houston, TX, for an initial 6‑month to 1‑year assignment.

• Gather, analyze, and interpret complex datasets from the EDMS system (D2).
• Build and maintain reliable, accurate reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel with VBA automation aligned with business needs.
• Create concise, executive‑ready reporting packages (metrics, KPIs, trends, forecasts).

• Develop and optimize VBA scripts and macros in Excel to streamline manual reporting processes.
• Work with IT/Data Teams to enhance data pipelines and ensure efficient data flows.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting tasks to reduce cycle time and manual effort.
• Capture reporting requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
• Develop dashboards to track project performance metrics.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
• Document processes, data definitions, and reporting standards for sustainability.
• Support continuous improvement of reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with Document Management, IT and Engineering Management to align reporting deliverables with business needs.
• Support ad‑hoc reporting needs.

• Automated recurring weekly reports, troubleshoot and mitigate reporting errors as per ongoing updates/changes in EDMS system (D2).
• Executive‑level dashboards.
• Documentation of reporting processes, data sources and governance standards.
• Ad‑hoc analysis reports supporting business priorities.

• M1 – Requirements gathering & current state assessment.
• M2 – Development of automated reporting prototypes.
• M3+ – Delivery of dashboards, automation rollout, and business adoption.
