We are looking for a skilled Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in guiding IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in Agile methodologies and project management tools while contributing to the energy and natural resources industry.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with established goals and timelines.
- Utilize Agile Scrum principles to manage workflows and maintain project efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Monitor progress and address any issues or risks that may impact project outcomes.
- Facilitate team meetings and sprint reviews to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Implement and manage tools such as Atlassian Jira to track tasks and project milestones.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and project management best practices.
- Deliver regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in IT project management, particularly within Agile environments.
- Certification in PMP or equivalent project management accreditation.
- Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application.
- Hands‑on experience with project management tools, especially Atlassian Jira.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage diverse teams.
- Ability to analyze risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with the energy or natural resources industry is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage complex projects effectively.
