Analyst- Business Processes; Hybrid

Position: Analyst- Business Processes (Hybrid)
The Finance organization is seeking a skilled Power BI / SQL Report Writer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience with Power BI, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights. This role is to assist in improving Accounting and Finance processes, to achieve agility, efficiencies, and consistency.

It involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, optimize reporting processes, and support data-driven decision-making.

Additionally, this position will be developing and providing comprehensive process documentation, including detailed flowcharts, to support knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Develop technical solutions (i.e. Power Bi, Power Query, Excel Macros, VBA, and SQL) to provide process efficiencies for the Accounting & Finance (A&F) organization2) Develop automated reporting and monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues3) Work with business users to gather and document reporting requirements.
4) Translate business needs into technical specifications5) Use technology to optimize and automate processes6) Developing comprehensive process documentation, including detailed flowcharts, to support knowledge transfer7) Test and validate reports for accuracy and performance8) Monitor and troubleshoot data refresh issues9) Regular use of MS Teams, SharePoint, and Visio
10) Ad hoc special projects
Education and

Certifications:

1) Bachelor's Degree in, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related fields is required.

Experience:

1) Must have technical experience with Power Bi, Power Query, Excel Macros, Visual Basics for Applications (VBA), and SQL2) Minimum of 1 + year of experience in data analytics, BI development and report writing3) General understanding of the energy industry and familiarity with industry terminology Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:1) Strong analytical skills and logical thought process2) Ability to communicate effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills3) Organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated4) Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines5) Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with others6) Comfortable communicating deadlines and following-up on action items7) Additional work hours will be required, including weekends and holidays on occasion We offer a hybrid schedule (Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday remote).
