Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our team. This role will have a dual focus on operational readiness at our edge locations and managing enterprise-wide infrastructure. The ideal candidate will excel at infrastructure management while keeping a keen eye on operational improvements. They ensure the smooth operation of Bot Auto’s edge technology stack. The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Bot Auto’s IT systems, including hardware, software, and SaaS applications.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively collaborate with other operations teams to ensure operational efficiency is maintained and consistently improved from an IT standpoint.
- Develop and manage comprehensive IAM strategies and workflows.
- Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and security.
- Manage system updates, patches, and software installations to keep systems secure and up to date.
- Implement and operate role-based access control (RBAC) across systems.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of critical infrastructure.
- Document IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
- Manage server and storage clusters in distributed computing environments.
- Operate and improve MDM configuration and usability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure and systems administration including but not limited to Linux, Windows Server.
- Strong background in IAM implementation and management.
- Experience integrating and managing third-party API services.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation and scripting.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms.
- Experience with monitoring tools and observability platforms.
- Experience leveraging LLMs and AI tools.
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi security 802.1x and EAP protocols.
- Solid understanding of network segmentation.
- Hands on experience with Jira/Confluence Jamf/Intune.
- Driving internal operational improvements collaborating with operations teams across the company. Maturing our IT infrastructure and processes in a secure and scalable manner.
