Sr. Network Engineer
Contract Position: 12 – 18 months + potential extension
Location:Houston, TX (Local candidates only)

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer based in the Austin, TX area to support and maintain mission-critical network infrastructure across a large-scale, multi-site environment. This role is responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network equipment including routers, switches, DSLAMs, and nano beam devices.

The ideal candidate is proactive, technically strong, and capable of independently managing complex networking systems. Daily responsibilities include monitoring circuit health, resolving anomalies before they impact operations, and providing expert-level support for all network-reliant systems and applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering
• Required active certifications:
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Deep understanding of routing, switching, diagnostics, and network security
• Must be located in or willing to commute to the Austin, TX area

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, program, and troubleshoot network equipment (routers, switches, DSLAMs, nano beams)
• Monitor network circuits daily to detect and resolve anomalies
• Provide advanced support for systems and applications dependent on network performance
• Maintain detailed documentation of network infrastructure, changes, and procedures
• Recommend and implement network improvements to enhance performance and reliability
