Desktop Support Technician

An employer in Midland, TX is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join their team. This person will be responsible for supporting 25 sites located within the Permian Basin with 200-250 end u . This person will be responsible for handling any IT related issues from hardware break fix, troubleshooting application and basic networking issues, setting up new u , imaging laptops, and helping assist with a Windows 11 upgrade.

Other tasks will include traveling to sites for in person support (as needed), helping support the Helpdesk with phone support, and assisting with asset/inventory tracking. Candidates will also be helping upgrade memory and SSD drives along with replacing outdated hardware. This person needs to be comfortable interfacing with u both in person and remotely, have strong communication, be a self-starter and have excellent customer service attitude.

Based on knowledge and years of experience, this position offers a pay range of $25-$31/hr.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience in a Desktop Support role

- Experience with Active Directory
- Hands on troubleshooting and break fix experience
- Upgrade/Migration experience (ideally Win 10 to Win 11)
- Experience re-imagining PCs PC build out/hardware experience
- Enterprise level experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Previous O&G experience
- Networking experience
