The Senior Systems Administrator reports to the IT Technical Services Manager and is responsible for VMware technologies administration, Cisco UCS administration, implementation, support, and management of other data center technologies.

• Manage day-to-day Broadcom VMware administration tasks, VM server builds, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Manage day-to-day Cisco UCS administration tasks, physical server builds, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Manage day-to-day SAN technologies administration tasks, provisioning, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Manage day-to-day backup and replication administration tasks, backup job reviews, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Manage day-to-day systems operations (troubleshooting, performance, configuration, maintenance, and patching).
• Apply Power Shell at an intermediate to expert level for various job tasks.
• Ensure records of systems and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
• Participate in projects to implement applications to the server infrastructure to support business needs and solutions, ensuring operational reliability.
• Maintain high availability and acceptable performance of critical system resources.
• Develop and coordinate project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on customer organizations.
• Participate in planning and implementation of projects for system operations and system administration.
• Plan, organize, and document complex system design activities and configure systems in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Interface with peers and managers to evaluate and understand business needs.
• Participate in the investigation and resolution of security-related incidents.
• Additional tasks may be assigned as needed, or the scope may change as business demands dictate.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Experience:

Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant systems administrator experience, including data center experience, complex physical and virtual systems design, scripting, and system software and support. Experience required in design, planning, and implementation of reliable enterprise-level systems.

• Datacenter Knowledge/Experience, Rack and Stack Storage, Servers, and Equipment
• Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025
• Windows File Server Management, SMB, CIFS
• Active Directory, DFS, DFS-R, DNS, DHCP, GPO’s, PKI, etc.
• Monitoring and Management Technologies, WUG, SCOM, Veeam One
• Power Shell Scripting
• Security Best Practices
• Windows OS patching and remediation
• DR / BCP methodologies

• VMware NSX (system segmentation / micro-segmentation)
• Microsoft Azure Technologies
• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, RH Open Shift, Oracle Linux)
• Networking Technologies
