The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our cloud and hybrid infrastructure while providing strong technical leadership, hands‑on experience, and a proactive approach to managing enterprise‑grade systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Azure‑based infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage, identity, monitoring).
  • Manage Azure Active Directory, role‑based access control (RBAC), and identity governance.
  • Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Implement and monitor security best practices across Azure and on‑prem environments.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, SOC, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable).
    • Manage firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Infrastructure Operations
    • Oversee hybrid environments integrating on‑premises systems with Azure cloud.
    • Administer Windows Server, virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V/VMware), and networking components.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Power Shell, ARM templates, or Terraform.
  • Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Drive adoption of modern cloud‑native practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Azure and infrastructure technologies.
  • Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance.
  • Contribute to IT strategy, capacity planning, and disaster recovery initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3‑5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, with at least 3+ years focused on Azure.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Azure IaaS/PaaS services
    • Azure Active Directory & Identity Management
    • Networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing)
    • Windows Server administration
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation (Power Shell, Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel).
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • ITIL or other infrastructure‑related certifications
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi‑limb coordination. Extended work hours required, especially during peak periods of our annual show.
