EDM Database Developer Admin - SQL and Oracle

Description Kforce has an Oil and Gas Digital company in Houston Texas (TX) in search of an EDM Database Developer/Admin: SQL and Oracle. This role will work onsite.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer's Data Model (EDM) Database Developer/Administrator. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in EDM (Engineer's Data Model), SQL Server, and Oracle databases, with a proven track record of database development, administration, performance optimization, and data integration.

This role will be responsible for designing, administering, and optimizing EDM databases while ensuring data quality, security, scalability, and operational reliability. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, application teams, data architects, and infrastructure teams to support enterprise engineering data platforms and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain Engineer's Data Model (EDM) database solutions supporting engineering and operational workflows
* Create scalable, maintainable, and efficient database structures aligned with business and technical requirements
* Support customization and enhancement of EDM data and integrations

Develop and optimize:
* Stored Procedures
* Functions* Triggers
* Views* Database Packages Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Management, or a related discipline
* Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered
* 7+ years of experience in database development and administration
* Hands-on experience supporting Engineer's Data Model (EDM) environments
* Database Development experience
* Database Administration experience

Advanced proficiency in:
* SQL* Microsoft SQL Server
* Oracle Database Strong expertise in:
* Database Architecture
* Data Modeling
* Database Design
* Performance Tuning
* Query Optimization
* Index Management Data Management and Integration:

Experience with :
* ETL Processes
* Data Migration
* Schema Management
* Database Version Control
* Data Integration Solutions Database Concepts:
* Dev Ops and Cloud Technologies
* Security and Testing

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience supporting Oil and Gas data management platforms
* Knowledge of company applications and data ecosystems
* Experience with well, drilling, completions, production, and subsurface data management
* Knowledge of cloud-based data modernization programs
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
* Drilling and Completions Applications experience is highly desirable
