Sr. Technologist II, System Engineer

Location: Houston, TX Salary: $55.00 USD Hourly – $60.00 USD Hourly Description:
The Judge Group’s direct client is seeking an experienced Sr. Technologist II, System Engineer to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure across a global environment. This role is responsible for administering Microsoft technologies, identity management platforms, server environments, virtualization systems, and automation solutions while providing advanced technical support and contributing to key IT initiatives.

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Azure, Entra , Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, and One Drive environments.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  , and identity management systems.
• Support and maintain Windows Server and virtualization platforms (vSphere/Azure).
• Develop automation solutions using Power Shell, Ansible
  , and similar tools.
• Analyze system logs, troubleshoot complex Tier 3 issues, and support enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Participate in on-call support and collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams.
• Create technical documentation and assist with knowledge sharing and training.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 15 years of IT experience.
• 10 years of Active Directory administration and automation/scripting experience.
• 7 years supporting enterprise virtualization platforms and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience with XML, JSON, YAML, WQL, and related technologies.

Preferred:

• Experience with Exchange Online, Mimecast, SCCM, Ivanti, SCOM, Solar Winds, and Azure Arc
  .
• Exposure to merger and acquisition integrations.
• Industry certifications preferred.
